I was eager to visit Wakasato Park, known for its beautiful scenery and serene atmosphere, so I specifically chose Nagano Plaza for its convenient location. I was pleasantly surprised by the lovely breakfast offerings, especially the fresh bread, fruits, and coffee that made my mornings special.
Hotel hygiene is very poor. Floor carpets are worst.

The location is unbeatable, just a short walk from the station, which made getting around super convenient. I appreciated the daily fresh towels and the surprise of finding my bags already in my room when I checked in. The breakfast, though simple, was quite tasty and satisfying, making for a good start to my mornings.

Honestly, the location was a lifesaver! Super close to the train station, which made getting around a breeze. I really enjoyed the breakfast; having curry in the morning felt kinda unique and definitely warmed me up during the holiday season. Plus, the wifi worked like a charm, so I could keep up with family and friends!
Now for the downsides: the room had a seriously unpleasant odor, probably from cigarettes, and it was hard to sleep with that smell lingering around. The cleanliness was definitely lacking; floors felt dusty and it seems like room service only popped in if you asked. Don't get me started on the dim lighting and old bathroom fixtures!

Excellent location next to the station, convenient travel access, spacious room for solo travellers, accommodating bilingual staff, good heat in winter, tasty breakfast options.
All good.

The breakfast, though simple, included delicious curry rice that was a nice surprise. The room could have used brighter lighting and had a slight musty odor, but overall I’d recommend this hotel for its location and value.

Great spot for exploring, super close to the train station. The breakfast was decent, and the staff were friendly. While the room had a bit of a smoky smell and could use better lighting, it was spacious enough for us to relax. Perfect for budget travelers!

The morning meal could use some more variety to spice things up.

The Nagano Plaza Hotel was convenient, just a minute from the Shinkansen station, making it ideal for our family trips to Matsumoto. The free curry breakfast was a nice touch for winter mornings, while the heated rooms kept us cozy. Despite some lighting issues and a chilly toilet seat, the staff’s warm hospitality and our enjoyable downtime with the Fire Stick entertainment made it a satisfactory stay. Nearby landmarks like Zenko-ji Temple and Wakasato Park offered lovely bonding moments with our twins.

I was pleasantly surprised by the value I got for my money at this budget hotel.
Breakfast delights would be improved with some jam or butter for the bread.
